Red Jade Necklace
Red jade is as beautiful and attractive as green jade. A red
jade necklace will look beautiful on any woman especially if the red jade is combined say with onyx or pearl. Red
jade is almost always mounted on platinum or silver, it does not look good on gold, they clash with each other and
there is no harmony in design or energies.
Red jade is a jadeite and it is found starting with a light
pink, almost white shade all the way to a fierce blood red with black specks on it. This is the rarest red jade in
existence and it is worth a lot of money. So when you see a specked red jade necklace be sure it is worth a fortune
especially if the entire necklace is made with the same beads.
A design widely used, which is simple yet nice is a regular
size chain of platinum or silver with small beads of jade hanging from it on small chains. Another popular design,
greatly appreciated by young women, is the necklace that starts wide and forms a descending triangle to finish in
one stone between the breasts. Many times the beads are sort of woven between themselves or are joined by silver or
platinum chains.
The combination of red jade and pearls is extremely elegant too
and will look great on any women, especially if she has a long thin neck line. Pearls are meant for women with long
necks and if they are combined with something as lively as red jade beads they will need even more room to be
appreciated and seen.
Red jade is also used to carve different idols from and later
used on plain chains or platinum or silver necklaces. Since jadeite is a bit softer than jade it is easier to carve
most any figure on. A great model that will fit your wife or daughter when out with her friends to lunch or at the
mall is one which has different size beads, but they are not really beads they are more like discs. They start
small on the outside and finish in the middle of the chest with a large disc. They may also start with a pink shade
on the outside to finish with deep red in the middle or vice versa.
There are many possibilities available that really depend on
the occasion you will be wearing the necklace. Jade is not expensive especially in the Orient and Central
America, it is the finished piece which might be expensive. This will depend on the other materials which are
accompanying or complementing the red jade on the necklace. The quality of the jade used is also somewhat relevant,
it is important that all pieces have similar colors, unless it is not meant to be so. Sizes and cuts must also be
the same or extremely similar.
Always buy your jade jewelry in a reputed store, it may be a
bit more expensive than what you can get in the street but you will not be gambling with your money. Nobody
guarantees what they sell on the street so stay on the safe side and buy a quality red jade necklace you will be
proud of.
